![]() The Morning Buzz and Malco Distributors of New England are proud to present the 2011 Kristen’s Gift Golf Fun-Raiser. The event will tee off at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown, NH. The Kristen’s Gift Golf Fun-Raiser is the premier, fundraising golf outing of the summer, and all proceeds will support patients and families in the pediatric oncology unit at CHaD, the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Since the Kristen’s Gift Golf Fun-Raiser began in 2004, more than $317,400 has been raised. The 2011 CHaD and Kristen’s Gift Golf Fun-Raiser Event Committee is aiming to raise more than $45,000 at this single event.
For your convenience, we will once again be offering sponsorships that have all-inclusive fees. Malco Distributors of New England has already pledged its support as the presenting sponsor. Much additional, unique sponsorships are available. For interested players, an $800 corporate foursome sponsorship includes the greens fee, cart, contest entry, survival kit, golfer gift, lunch, program recognition and raffle tickets. We have set a new shot gun time of 10:00 AM – a great way to start the weekend!
This fun-raiser WILL sell out! Please reserve your spot by calling Natalie Martinez at (603) 629-8126.
CHaD is also pleased to inform you that the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center have recently expanded the pediatric hematology/oncology program to Manchester, delivering care for children with cancer, and their families. The goal is to provide care close to home for patients from throughout southern New Hampshire that otherwise had to travel to Lebanon to receive all of their care.
One of the goals for
Kristen’s Gift is to grow an endowment that funds pediatric cancer
research. Together, we can find a cure to this horrible disease! We want
you to know that: o Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children, cutting short the lives of more children under the age of 20 than any other disease o One child out of five who is diagnosed with cancer dies. Three out of five children who are treated for cancer suffer long-term side effects o Every school day, 46 young people, or two classrooms of students, are diagnosed with cancer in this country. More than 12,500 children are diagnosed with cancer each year o The average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is six years old; saving the life of a child with cancer gives our children a future: approximately 66 years of life’s milestones and dreams to celebrate
